Galenica is a privately owned Swedish pharmaceutical company, authorized and audited by the Swedish Medical Products Agency (MPA). With a state-of-the-art 3000 m² facility located in Medeon Science Park, we offer comprehensive pharmaceutical development and manufacturing services.
Our operations are divided into two main business areas:
CDMO (Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization): Providing tailored drug formulation and manufacturing services for pharmaceutical clients.
Pharma Unit: Developing and launching our own branded pharmaceutical dermal products, leveraging our expertise in drug formulation and production.

Founding Galenica
Galenica was founded in 1999 by pharmacists Ronnie Wallin and Henri Hansson in Malmö, Sweden. Both founders had extensive experience in pharmaceutical research and formulation technology before starting the company. They identified a market need for a flexible Swedish pharmaceutical partner specializing in formulation and development services. This vision laid the foundation for Galenica’s role as a trusted CDMO provider. Over the years, Galenica has built strong relationships with small and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies, helping them develop high-quality pharmaceutical products.
