About the Nils-Olof Lindberg Scholarship in Pharmacy

At Galenica pharmaceutical development is closest to our heart.

At Galenica pharmaceutical development is closest to our heart.

Our founders/owners, Ronnie Wallin and Henri Hansson, are both pharmacists from Uppsala University and since the start of the company in 1999 pharmaceutical development has been our key competence.

In 2003 Galenica had the honour of welcoming Nils-Olof Lindberg as Senior Scientist/Project Manager. His contribution at Galenica is not just impressive for its duration (over 20 years); what truly stands out is that he embarked on Galencia’s journey after retiring from Pfizer at the age of 66. Throughout his remarkable 60-year career, which continues to flourish, Nils-Olof has been a pivotal figure in the field of galenic pharmacy and the development of solid dosage forms. At Galenica, he is the mastermind behind several commercialized products, among them a product we developed for a customer a decade ago, significantly aiding those suffering from Addison’s disease.

In recognition of his invaluable achievements, we have established the Nils-Olof Lindberg Scholarship in Pharmacy. This initiative is a testament to Galenica’s commitment to fostering the aspirations of future pharmaceutical students.

We are excited to announce that the scholarship will be open for applications February-April every year. We encourage all aspiring pharmacy students to seize this opportunity and apply for The Nils-Olof Lindberg Scholarship in Pharmacy.
